Cavendish; family; Chatsworth; Dukes of Devonshire

Cavendish; Lord; Frederick Charles (1836-1882); Second son of William Cavendish, 7th Duke of Devonshire. Whig politician, assassinated in Phoenix Park, Dublin, in 1882. Buried at Edensor.

Lyttelton; family; Related by marriage to the Cavendish family of Chatsworth.

Melbourne; Lord; William Lamb (1779-1848); 2nd Viscount; Whig politician; Prime Minister 1834 and 1835-41. The family took their name from their Derbyshire seat, Melbourne Hall, and the city of Melbourne, Australia was named after William. Married Caroline Ponsonby who then had a notorious affair with Lord Byron.
