1 - Bargain and sale by William Leche of Shipley esquire to Robert Houlden of Aston gentleman, for a competent sum, of a parcel of meadow ground containing 100 acres called Wadflatt in Cleech holme, within the precincts of Sawley but reputed parcel of the manor of Weston, and now in Houlden's possession, 3 doles of land meadow near Wadflatt late in possession of Robert Moare of Little Wilne, fishing or fishing places in Darwent called the Ould Water. John Soare of Shardlow yeoman, for £320 of yardland of arable, meadow and pasture ground, 10 beast or horse pastures and 50 sheepgates in the common fields of Wilne and Shardlow belonging to the Yard Land, piece of meadow called Wadd Flatt in Aston parish in possession of Robert Houlden, 3 doles of meadow ground "of" the East side of the Flatt in Aston parish towards a town called Sawley, trees and willows upon the premises, all in the tenure of Houlden or Nicholas Cowlishaw (one barn and stable, one fould yard in Wilne in which a dwelling house was heretofore standing and a close belonging called Wards Closse in Wilne containing 1½ acres with willows and trees in the close, parcel of the Yard Land and premises called part of Wards Yard Land, excepted) Dated 21 April - 1656
