1 - Letter to Mr Smedley from a few of his "humble and sincere" workpeople at Lea Mill, thanking him for the copies of his "address", expressing relief on his restoration to health, and stating that everything is "going on smoothly, comfortably and united in reference to business interests" - 12 Dec 1850
2 - Letter to Mr Smedley? from P Hill of Hasland, Chesterfield, being close to death and expressing his humble apology for any past unkindness or lack of courtesy - 12 May 1864
3 - Poem written in affectionate remembrance of Mr Smedley of Riber Castle by 'Florence' - c1874
