2 - Article by Trevor Nurse relating to the first free school in New Whittington, opened by the Thomas Firths company in c1859, and in particular the school bell. The bell was removed from the Firths school site by a subsequent owner of the building, before being returned to the village in 2002 and restored. - 2003
3 - Letter from Trevor Nurse to Mr Pownall, thanking him for accepting custody of the village school bell. The bottom of the letter is illustrated with a laser printed colour photograph of six children in costume, captioned "London Street School Christmas Pantomime". The children's names are also given. - c2006
