1 - Journal of an excursion into Derbyshire from London visiting Barnet, St Albans, Woburn, Newport Pagnell, Northampton, Rugby (with visit to school), Luton, Coventry, Meriden, Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Derby, Duffield, Kedleston, Cromford, Matlock, Haddon, Buxton and the baths, Manchester and Bridgwater canal, Castleton, caves, leadmine, Tideswell, Middleton Vale, Chatsworth, Matlock, Wirksworth, Kedleston and pictures, Duffield, Nottingham, Grantham, Stamford, Burleigh, Bugden, Hatfield, London. Journal written by man (? young) one of a mixed party, travelling mainly for pleasure, visiting factories, country houses, and interested in mineralogy and natural settings.
