101 - Letter dated 25-May 1814: Repton, W B Sleath to R Crabtree esq, Wokingham (Berkshire). Has been in correspondence with Mr Bristow about the infringement of Francis Burdett's fishery rights, but he persists in intending to fish, even when threatened with the law. Action must be taken, otherwise others will follow the example - 1814
102 - Letter dated 10-Feb 1815: Twyford, S Bristow junior to Dr Sleath (copy letter in W B Stevens' hand). Admits fishing the previous Friday as a direct response to aggression by Dr Sleath's "banditti". Quarrel to continue if Sleath does not desist harassment - 1815
103 - Letter dated 13-Feb 1815: Repton, W B Stevens to Sir Francis Burdett, Piccadilly. Recites the history of the fishery case. Lord Harrington, the previous owner of Bristow's estate (only recently purchased), did not presume to fish. Sir Henry Crewe has already taken action to stop Bristow fishing on a part of the main river - 1815
104 - Letter dated 02-Aug 1818: Woodside, Robert Banton to Richard Crabtree, Waterloo Lodge, Wokingham. James Smith has finished Knowle Hills garden. Harvest has started and is likely to be short. Work too will be short - 1818
105 - Letter dated 01-Jan 1819: Bath, Francis Burdett to Richard Crabtree, Wokingham. Great improvement at Foremark, both with the heath and the ha ha (which is about to be drained). A good meeting at Liverpool -Hobhouse should succeed and is confident. New Year has begun well with Mr Coutts very happy with Lady Guilford and her daughters, a despaired-of event - 1819

Saw Calke yesterday - very fine and the young successor there seems good, though he may have behaved over-generously to Greaves (who has got off with all his plunder).Talks about the housekeeper and other servants - wonders about making improvements to efficiency - 1819

114 - Letter dated 23-Dec 1819: Southwood, William Woodward to Richard Crabtree, Waterloo Lodge near Wokingham. Asks to rent a piece of common belonging to Francis Burdett, before Smisby common is inclosed, because it is a light turnip soil. The railroad is a grievous nuisance to the farm - 1819

118 - Letter dated 06-Mar 1820: Hartshorne, Thomas Hassell to ?Francis Burdett. Has enquired about the easiest means to redeem land tax. Suggests a route for the intended railway from Pistern Hill Colliery to the Ashby railway, through two or three of Woodwards Closes - 1820

121 - Letter dated 14-Sep 1820: Darley near Derby. William Evans to ?Richard Crabtree. Understands that Francis Burdett is prepared to let Foremark to him - awaits the terms. The house seems in good repair but is lacking in furniture. Size of the house and distance to the offices would entail a large number of servants. Would wish also for the manor and 50/100 acres of grassland - 1820

123 - Letter dated 20-Jan 1821: Longton near Newcastle (Staffordshire) Thomas Cartwright to ?Richard Crabtree. Understands that Dowager Lady Crewe is leaving Foremark. He would have no objection to taking it for a term of years - 1821

125 - Letter dated 19-Aug 1821: Ingleby. Copy letter from Rev Robert Ley to Francis Burdett. Explains his involvement with Mr French in writing a letter to Burdett, which he believes has changed Burdett's attitude to him. Was not consulted, but did later discuss the matter with Mr Dodsley - 1821

Endorsed with a letter from Burdett (at Whitton Park, Hounslow 8 Jul 1823) to Richard Crabtree, wondering what answer to give. Foremark is better inhabited; is unfortunate as he wishes to live there but Susan's situation could not be foreseen. Cannot shake off the gout. - 1823

Recommends his brother as a supplier of butchers meat: he already serves Calke, and supplied Mr Phillips and the Dowager Lady Crewe when at Foremark - 1823
