1 - Letter from W B Stevens to Mr Dalby: Dealings with Mr Burslem over resigning money into proper hands, for 'the Charity'. Gossip over the appointment of Mr Turner to a Master's place, likely to be delayed by Lord H, or given to Mr Smelt to satisfy Lord C. - 1785
2 - Letter from W B Stevens to Mr Dalby: Arranges a meeting on Thursday hoping to see Mr Burslem. The Etwall bills (for work done) should be checked by proper inspectors - workmen may have taken advantage of old Burslem's death - 1785
3 - Letter from W B Stevens to Mr Dalby: Requests for salaries to be paid have been received from Mr Hutchinson and Mr Tomkins. Accounts must be settled with Mr Turner at a meeting when the auditor is involved - 1786
4 - Letter from W B Stevens to Mr Dalby: Suggests that Dalby should talk with Mr Turner about Lady Day rents and who is to receive them; also wise to convene the tenants at an early date - 18th cent

23 - Ann Dalby to "my dear children" (addressed to Thomas at Rev Mr Hutchinson's, Repton). The lawyer who acts for Repton school has died and their father is likely to get the job. - [?1790]
24 - Ann Dalby to her son Jack (with a draft letter from ?Jack). Worried about his health.
25 - T Dalby junior to Jack. Messages to be given to various people. - [?1791]
26 - T Dalby junior to Jack. Mistake in the bill, which should be taken to Mousley and checked, whether it might be for another of Mr Hutchinson's boarders. - 1788
27 - A Dalby to her mother. Has arrived at Repton at Mr Stevens'. Ball at Sir Robert [Burdett's] and a masquerade at Sir Nigel Gresley's. Chief topic is when Sir Harry's wedding will take place.
28 - A Dalby to her mother. Had hoped to be coming back with Miss Stevens, but she has not arrived. Jack was considering returning home.
29 - A Dalby to her mother, and to Mary. Mr Walker from Norwich will arrive next week. General comings and goings.
30 - A Dalby to her sister Mary Dalby. Details of company received. Sir Francis will support Miss Stevens in her irreparable loss [? of her brother/father WBS]. - 1800
