D2593 - Hollington Tithe Payments, 16th cent; Copy notes and other papers, 19th cent - 1505-1874
1 - Sheet or membrane, the original stamped ‘Thomlinson Newcastle Library.’ The copy is endorsed ‘Wm Lyndewood’s Provinciale, seu constitutions angliae 1506.’ Contains book-hand Latin writing, with arms and supporters [not identified]. In a cursive hand is written ’from the gift of Walter George’ and in a different hand, chaplain and rector of the parish of Longforth.’ [Longford, Derbyshire] In the first cursive hand is a list of names and sums of money head ‘Holynton tythe heye’. - 1505
2 - Letter to father and mother from Mary Hay, addressed to Mr John Hay, Milstones Bridge Bar near Baslow. On personal matters. Written from Manchester, Ashton Road, 24 Sep - 1826
