1 - Conveyance by William Jowett, wadding manufacturer of Mellor, Arthur Jowett, gentleman of Mellor, Charles Jowett, solicitor of Buxton, James Jowett, gentleman of Southport and Ernest Jowett, solicitor’s clerk of Mellor to Henry Marsland, coal merchant of Marple Bridge, of a plot of land on Longhurst Lane, Mellor (816 sq yds) part of the Townscliffe estate in consideration of a perpetual annual rent charge of £2.11s payable to the Vendors. Including an agreement that the purchaser build two or more dwelling-houses, each to bring in an annual rent of £15. With plan 27 Nov. Endorsement: memorandum of conveyance by Sarah Elizabeth Marsland to Edna Buck of a plot of 406 square yards including the semi-detached house called “Bankside”, subject to an annual rent of £1 5s 6d; 11 Nov 1950 - 1899
