D2354 - Hathersage Parish Boundary, 16th – 18th cent - 1574-[18th cent]
1 - Description of the boundaries of Hallamshire dividing it from the lordships of Ecclesall (co. York) and of Hathersage, viewed 5 Aug 1574 - 1574
2 - Quitclaim by several persons, inhabitants of the parish of Hathersage, to the Duke of Norfolk, lord of the manor of Sheffield and his heirs, whereby, following disputes between them and inhabitants of the chapelry of Bradfield (co York) over the ownership of a piece of waste ground called Moscar and, having agreed on the line of the boundary of Hathersage between Stanedge End and the North Wainstones, declaring the waste land on the north east side of this boundary to lie in Bradfield in the manor of Sheffield, they relinquish all claim in this piece of waste to the Duke of Norfolk and his heirs, agreeing in addition that two verdicts on this matter formerly obtained at Derby Assizes by them the men of Hathersage, were obtained against evidence and should be disregarded - 1705
