1 - Letter from John Wolley to Mr Rodger Shower of Snitterton, sending him a copy of the award made for the settling and adjusting of their shares of the manor of Matlock, showing the descent of John Woolley’s share from William Browne to Daniel Clark. Dated 24 February - 1739
2-4 - Correspondence from George Brumell, London, to Mr W Evans regarding his agency for conducting common law business and his own suitability to act as an agent for one of Mr Evans’ friends (8 October). However he has had an offer of a partnership in the country (14 October) with a Mr William Grey of Stockton which he has agreed to accept (28 October) - 1891

6 - Letter from Joseph Gratton, Timberfield (co. Lincoln) to W M Shore Evans, esq., concerning the accuracy of his (Gratton’s) survey of ground which was advertised for the purpose of sale in 1844. There appears to be a dispute between Mr Evans and a Mr Pearson regarding the boundary of the land. Dated 4 April - 1865
7-18 - Correspondence from Francis Blake, 5 Serle Street, Lincoln’s Inn, London W C to Mr W M S Evans esq., Solicitor, Matlock Bath, regarding the case of Evans V Pearson. He asks to be sent full instructions for declaration. He is asking as Mr Evan’s agent in this action - 1866-1867

Middlesex, esq., Appended is an agreement between Theodore Henry Dury of Derby, esq., and Walter Mather Shore Evans as the purchaser of Lot 44 at the sum of £1,386 11s. Dated 8 September - 1845
