1 - Exemplification of entry in Forest Roll for Sherwood held at Mansfield 1663, recording claim of Robert Somers the he and his heirs are seized of one half of a close called Killen Croft in Lambley in severalty, acquitted of all wastes, asserts, pains and forfeitures; that he is seized for his life of 1 messuage, 29 acres of arable, 3 acres of meadow and 4 acres of pasture in Papplewick acquitted of wastes asserts pains and forfeitures, with common pasture for cattle; claim allowed 1666 - 1663-1666
2-3 - Copy inspeximus of enrollment of letters patent dated 1665 to the Duke of Newcastle, exonerating him from purprestures, wastes, arrestments and asserts in the manors of Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Sutton in Ashfield, Clipstone, Edwinstowe and Kirkby, Nottinghamshire, part of Sherwood Forest, with power to inclose without further licence, or interception, and copy - 1670

Duke of Newcastle, 2) Duke of Devonshire and the rest of the freeholders and copyholders of Sutton in Ashfield; the freeholders and copyholders are to release to Newcastle the farm of Fulwood and the rest of the 466 acres inclosed about 40 years ago out of the commons and wastes of Sutton, Newcastle to have 40 acres adjoining the farm most convenient to be inclosed out of the 1500 acres to be conveyed by Newcastle to trustees for the use of the freeholders and copyholders, with 5 acres more should he insist thereon; the free holders are to convey the 40 or 45 acres to Newcastle, for which he is to confirm the remainder of the 1500 acres with power to inclose (except the royalties of hawking, hunting and fowling) Rushley containing 1200 acres and the rest of the commons to remain as commons - 1707
