5 - Amber Valley and Erewash Area Education office Youth Service. The nature of the service provided by the County Education Committee in the late 1940s is described in a printed pamphlet (E5/3/1). Local district committees existed covering, for example, Ripley and District. In 1966, in conjunction with the reorganisation of adult education, revised committees were set up, including the Amber Valley District committee. The committee was officially disestablished by the Area Education Office in Nov 1980. - 1940-1981
