6 - Crich County Junior School. This was formerly a British school and became a council school in 1903, subsequently known as County school and then after 1944 a county Junior school. - 1953-1968
7 - Lea County Primary School. This school was taken over by the newly-formed Lea School Board in 1889. It subsequently became a Council school in 1903 and then a County Primary school. - 1942-1951
8 - Morley County Primary School. This was originally a Board school, built in 1880 (the school board had been set up in 1878). In 1903, it became a Council school, it was known as the Morley County school from March 1957. - 1932-1965
9 - Somercotes County primary schools. The Infants school here was opened in 1867, followed by a National school for boys in 1874 and Girls in 1894. These were supported by the firm of J and H Oakes of Riddings. The schools subsequently became Council schools in 1903. 10 - Somerlea Park County Secondary school. This school was largely demolished by fire in May 1974. It was then uncertain whether the school would be re-built. - 1967-1973
11 - Belper Highfield Centre. This was a centre for handicapped pupils, on Holbrook Road, Belper. The centre closed in Apr 19778 and the pupils were transferred to other centres and schools. - 1971-1978

13 - Ilkeston: Cavendish (Girls) County Secondary School. Secondary education in Ilkeston was reorganised on comprehensive lines in 1977. For earlier governors’ minutes relating to this school see D1040. - 1968-1977

16 - Ilkeston: North group of primary schools. The schools covered by this group in 1949 were Granby Boys, Granby Girls (a Junior mixed school from 1951), Chaucer Boys and Girls, Chaucer Infants, Holy Trinity Infants and Bennerley Infants (closed in Jul 1959.) New Junior Mixed and Infants schools were opened in Cotmanhay in Sep 1951. A new school, called Charlotte Infants, replaced Holy Trinity Infants in Jul 1970. For earlier minutes see D1040 - 1949-1975
17 - Ilkeston: South group of primary schools - 1949-1975
18 - Kirk Hallam County Primary schools. In 1954, these minutes referred simply to the Ilkeston: Kirk Hallam (New) County Infants school, From May 1957, the Kirk Hallam Junior Mixed school was included. In Sep 1965, the new Kirk Hallam Ladywood Junior Mixed and Infants school was added to the group. - 1954-1975

21 - Heanor Grammar school. This school was closed in May 1976. For earlier minutes see D1040/CE. For records of the school , see D1635. - 1963-1976
22 - Ironville County primary school. This school was built by the Butterley company in 1850. It became a council school in 1903 and then a county school. - 1941-1964
23 - Number not used. Formerly referred to Sandiacre Primary and Infant Schools. See D731 - 1950-1975

4 - Amber Valley and Erewash Area Education office Special schools. Minutes of Governing bodies. - 1969-1984
5 - Amber Valley and Erewash Area Education office Youth Service. The nature of the service provided by the County Education Committee in the late 1940s is described in a printed pamphlet (E5/3/1). Local district committees existed covering, for example, Ripley and District. In 1966, in conjunction with the reorganisation of adult education, revised committees were set up, including the Amber Valley District committee. The committee was officially disestablished by the Area Education Office in Nov 1980. - 1940-1981
