Notes
Ancient parish. Ecclesiastical parish includes the townships of Aston, Brough and Shatton, Highlow, Offerton, Thornhill and part of Hope Woodlands. Formerly included Bradwell, Abney and Abney Grange, Grindlow, Hazelbadge, Great Hucklow, Little Hucklow and part of Wardlow (all of which were included in new chapelry of Bradwell in 1868), most of Hope Woodlands (added to the new parish of Derwent Woodlands in 1871), Fernilee (which transferred to the parish of Buxton in 1898), the townships of Nether Padley and Stoke (which transferred to parish of Eyam in 1911). Also formerly included chapelry of Fairfield (which became a separate parish in 1852).
