Custodial History	This collection was inherited by Derbyshire Record Office through the County Quarter Sessions and County Council who maintained a collection of published acts of Parliament, including for their own reference.
Arrangement	Arranged chronologically. Each year may be arranged slightly differently depending on how the acts were published and bound together. Most years consist of several volumes, with each type of act (i.e. Public General, Local, Private) arranged chronologically.

Finding Aids	A chronological list of the Local and Private (Personal from 1948) Acts of Parliament can be found via the link below.
Related Material	Texts of more recent Local Acts can be see at www.legislation.gov.uk and copies ordered from The Stationery Office Ltd. Some Acts are also held as individual records, particularly those relating to Enclosure (see Q/RI) and several relating to public works such as railways and canals. Search the catalogue using key words from the title of the Act to see if a copy is available.
