Administrative HistorySarah Dorothea (Dora) Vaughan, later Simpkinson (1823-1885) was the daughter of Reverend E.T. Vaughan, Headmaster of Harrow School. She married John Nassau Simpkinson, Assistant Master at Harrow School, on 6 December 1849 at St Martin's Church, Leicester; they had at least nine children. Simpkinson was the nephew of Lady Franklin.
