Administrative History
The Congregational Church at Fritchley and Heage was established in the 1790s and for its first 46 years part of the Church at Belper. The Foundation Stone for the original chapel building at Fritchley was laid on 9th October 1840. The first meeting of the church was held on 3rd December of the same year, at which it was agreed to purchase a Communion Service, consisting of a cup and two salvers.
A new chapel was opened on 4th August 1841. The Church closed for the final time in March 2018.
