Administrative HistoryThe first Primitive Methodist Chapel in Bugsworth was built in 1841. The current Buxworth (Bugsworth) Primitive Methodist Chapel was built in 1878. In the 1950s it joined the Whaley Bridge Wesleyan Methodist Circuit. The church closed in 1984.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office in June 2004 and August 2005.
