TitleCopy probate copy will of James Briddon of Monyash, yeoman. Will dated 24 Oct 1857. Testator died on 1 Nov 1857. Will proved 1 Dec 1857 To my eldest son Thomas Briddon on Monyash, I leave Town End Farm, 96 acres, at Monyash, which I purchased of the late Mr Gisborne, out of which he is to pay all my debts and also 8 shillings a week to my wife Mary Ann Briddon. To my said wife a house in Monyash occupied by John Flint, for her life and then to my daughter Margaret. To my son Samuel a house and workshop and 7 acres situate at Monyash, now occupied by James Critchlow and Anthony Bentley; he to pay £100 to my son James when aged 30. To my son Samuel Tag Lane Field near 2 acres at Monyash. To my son James land called Sleeplow 20 acres and a house now occupied by Anthony Bentley, all at Monyash. When my son Samuel is aged 21 Henmoor Farm (76 acres) at Monyash, late in the occupation of Samuel Andrews, is to be sold and £100 each paid to my daughters Margaret, Julia, and Louisa, and the rest equally divided among by daughters Jane, Harriet, Margaret, Julia, and Louisa. Various conditions and covenants. Executors: Joseph, the son of Richard Bonsall of Monyash; and my eldest surviving son Thomas Briddon
