Administrative HistoryMilford Parish Council was established by Local Government Board Order 36016 of 18 September 1897 which confirmed a Derbyshire County Council Order of 22 Dec 1896 which constitiuted Milford a separate parish. The Derbyshire Review Order of 1934 included this parish within the Urban District of Belper.

The Parish Council helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area.
Custodial HistoryAcquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 1997. Further records were deposited in July 2004.
