| Administrative History | Alderwasley church was formerly in the parish of Wirksworth, and is now part of a large united benefice centered on Wirksworth. There has been a chapel at Alderwasley since at least the sixteenth century but the present building dates from 1850 and only began to keep its own registers in the twentieth century. |
