(xii-xiv) 26 Jun-1 Jul 1893 with references to Miss Nightingale's experiences in the Crimean War. The same letter includes a comment on the 'North Country men... Derbyshire and Yorkshire... as worth three times the men of the South for energy'
(xviii) 28 Mar 1896 suggesting books for the Whatstandwell Reading Room (with photocopy of a typed transcript)
(xx-xxi) undated, incomplete, letter/note, marked 'Private', discussing infection in general and infection control in the classroom
