Administrative HistoryThe chapel was built in 1845 and further land purchased in the 1870s. It was part of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Wesleyan Methodist circuit until 1873, the Woodville and Swadlincote Methodist circuit from 1873 to 1955, and the South Derbyshire Methodist circuit from 1955 onwards. For a brief period (1962-1967) it was part of the Newhall and Woodville Methodist circuit.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited by the Superintendent Minister of the South Derbyshire Methodist Circuit in December 1983 and December 1999.
