Coloured postcard of the Arkwright Spinning Frame, which was used from about 1775, for spinning cotton in Richard Arkwright's mill at Cromford

Description
A description with the item reads: "The Arkwright Spinning Frame, Patent No. 931 of the year 1769. This frame was worked in the Arkwright Mills at Matlock Bath, now a branch of English Sewing Ltd. It was driven by water power". The postcard was produced for the North Western Museum of Science (now called the Science and Industry Museum) in Manchester, by Hadfield Print Services Ltd, of 43 Pikes Lane, Glossop.
