Parish of Dethick, Lea and Holloway
Administrative History
Dethick Chapel, dedicated to St John the Baptist was founded in the 13th century and there was also a medieval chapel at Lea, about which little is known. Dethick and Lea were originally a chapelry in the Parish of Ashover and Holloway was a hamlet in the Parish of Crich. a separate parish of Dethick, Lea and Holloway was created in 1901 and Christ Church chapel of ease was built at Holloway in 1903.
