Title
Native affairs and native labour
Description
This group is divided into two major sections: 1) a series of reports from Native Commissioners and other officials, and 2) correspondence and general papers relating to native affairs. The first section is itself subdivided on account of P.L.G.'s method of filing. From 1899 to 1903 he dismembered composite monthly reports sent in from Salisbury and reassembled them according to district. However, these district files are not in all cases complete. The third group of this section contains a few of the original sets of reports as sent to London from Rhodesia. After 1903 P.L.G. ceased to retain these documents except when they had especial importance.
