Including extracts from acts relating to turnpike roads to provide directions to Richard Bower, 3rd District toll collector for Darley Church Tollgate, mid 18th cent, and assignment document relating to the Nottingham to Newhaven Turnpike (3rd District), 1765; general notice for meetings of the trustess of several turnpike roads, including 3rd District of Nottingham Road, undated; assorted accounts, 1827; letter by W Gauntley to the Trustees of Matlock Turnpike Road on his appointment and that of Mr Gould as Surveyors of the Highways in the township of Bakewell, 26 Feb 1800; and letter of Mr Mander to Mr Ashby on inquiry about the lst Court Leet and Baron of the Manor of Beeley, 3 May 1825
