| Administrative History | The volume was kept by George Smith, grocer and provision merchant of Belper, as his private ledger. George Smith was Clerk to the monthly meeting of the Quakers at Fritchley for many years until he emigrated to Nairobi, Kenya, in 1933. He died in 1940.
