Title	Personal letter from Sir William Gell to Philip Gell

Description	`Young gentleman': `I have been fagging myself to death to settle the business of my ally Jim Belcher and what with Windham, Lord Archibald, Jackson and Adam the lawyer, I have at length got a letter for him to Mr Nolan the great lawyer who attends at Guildford Quarter Sessions who is to defend him for nothing'. `The Princess [of Wales] has a most inveterate letch for larking but Lady Charlotte [Lindsay] tells her it is very stupid that she may not come and make larking too notorious. Poor Frederick North's house in Conduit St which he had furnished and fitted up so well with all his Indian woods, books, etc is burnt to the ground ... I have got two prostitutes passed by means of Mr Jolly Jackson's uncle and I shall have a third babylonian in a day or two. It is by no means cheap but the Trojan work [The Troad] must pay for it'. References to bullbaiting contests. May come to Hopton later in the year.
