Administrative History | Newton Solney became part of an united benefice with Foremark and Repton in the 20th century. In medieval times, Newton Solney was one of the chapelries of Repton. However, in the period covered by these documents it was to all intents and purposes a separate parish. A section in the first register of Egginton (D840 A/PI 1/1) has been found which may refer to Newton Solney. These entries cover the periods 1566-1598 and 1604-1612. |
