Derbyshire Footpaths Preservation Society
Administrative HistoryThe Peak District and Northern Counties Footpaths Preservation Society was formed in 1894 as a result of several years of concern and legal battles over rights of way and use of footpaths. By 1904 the Derbyshire branch had become separate, and later became known as the Derbyshire Footpaths Preservation Society. The Society ceased to exist in April 2011.
