Administrative HistoryMr N V Cowlishaw of Horsley Woodhouse studied at Heanor Mining and Technical School in the 1930s. Later, he developed his interests in the local history of Heanor, Horsley Woodhouse and the surrounding areas, photographing many historic sites and buildings. These papers include albums of photographs compiled by Mr Cowlishaw, copies of historical documents, historical notes and local printed ephemera.
Custodial HistoryThese papers were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by a private individual in 1977 and 1987.
