DescriptionLands in Coal Aston, Tansley, Dronfield, Wessington, Wirksworth, Radbourne, Heage, Ashover, Plaistow, Wheatcroft, Pinxton, Breedon and Tonge, a moiety of the manor of Norton, the Manor of Kingston (Notts) and all his lands etc. in Kingston, Gotham, Alsworth, Marnham, Normanton, Osberton, Bilborough, Ranby and Mattersey (Notts) with the rectory of Marnham and every third turn of the presentation to Gotham-Darcy and Metham to stand seised of the Derbyshire property and the Nottinghamshire property (except Kingston) with messuages and land etc. at Kingston in the occupation of John Whitworth, John Burrowe, Thomas Stevenson and Richard Gisborne, a cottage in the occupation of William Walker, and 3 closes of pasture called the Parke, Oake Close and Little Sheepecoate Close, late in the tenure of Richard Piggott, a parcel of the manor of Kingston, to the use of Babington for life with remainder to the eldest male issue of Babington and Mary his wife (sister of Darcy) in tail male, and for want of male heirs, to the second eldest male issue of Babington and Mary, in tail male etc. - to stand seised of the manor of Kingston and the remaining property at Kingston to the use of Babington and Mary for life with remainder as above. 20 Feb 8 Elizabeth I 1565/6
