Biography	Cubbenah was an enslaved man of African descent on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759. It has been assumed that he is the same Cubbenna recorded in the 1771 list as a cattle keeper. In 1780 he was recorded as 'with the cattle' (crossed through) and then as working in the third gang. In 1781, he was a mule keeper. Cubbenah was born in Barbados, and was the son of 'Short' Fibbah and sibling to Violet and Yannabah. The name Cubbenah is an African one, traditionally given to a boy born on a Tuesday.
