Description
Indenture of bargain and sale by (1) James Hardewick of Hardwick, esquire, to (2) John Cley of Glapwell, yeoman, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to their own use, of one meadow called "Grymes Meydow" with appurtenances in the parish of Heath, previously occupied by James Garrotte, in consideration of £15. Signed and sealed James Hardwyck. Endorsed with names of witnesses: Richard Parsons, clerk, Thomas Congforth, James Hardwycke junior, Olver Wheate, Thomas Alwood, Thomas Heath, Laurence ("Lorans") Sampson, George Cley, William Lowe, Thomas Cley, Oliver Noden, Anthony Unwen. Dated 20 Sep in the 16th year of Queen Elizabeth. Seal (repaired, top half of design missing) attached by tag.
