Description
Supplemental to an abstract already sent to Mr Fowler (1681-1712/13). Properties referred to include parts of manors of Newhall, Stanton Ward and Heathcote or Heathcote Ward, coal, named fields. Includes detailed list of properties with tenants’ names 1699; Abstract of the title of Philip Earl of Stanhope to property in the parish of Hartshorne (1699- 1778). Includes Stanhope genealogy and refers to properties in Newhall, Stanton Ward and in parish of Hartshorne including mines and naming fields. With legal opinion of B Bakewell and note on mines in Hartshorne, 27 Feb 1780. 18 pages plus cover page. Partially damaged by damp (repaired).
