Description
Indenture between (1) John Newton of Ripley, parish of Pentrich, yeoman, and (2) Wiliam Norman of the liberty of Ripley, concerning 5 closes of land in the liberty of Ripley called the Broad Meadow, Thissley Close, the Little Close and the two Coal Closes, abutting on the Marehay House and adjoining Street Lane, containing by estimation 20 acres.
In consideration of £150 borrowed from Norman as in bond of the same date, to secure principal and 4% interest.
Parchment: seal, tag and part of sheet at bottom removed.
