Description
Indenture between (1) George Pole of Heage, esquire, and Henry Smith of Denby, gentleman, and (2) William Kirkeland, son and heir of Nicholas Kirkeland of Ripley, yeoman.
Farm (25 acres) in the possession of Henry Stafford, in Marehay in the liberty of Ripley and parish of Pentrich, and a house with 3 parcels of land (7 acres) called Bestwicke House in Marehay.
In consideration of £269.
Dated 15 April 16 Charles II: by modern reckoning the year is 1664.
Parchment, no seals, two tags, with signatures of Geogre Pole and Henry Smith.
