Description
Copy of handwritten minutes. An emergency committee was set up at the instigation of Ault Parish Council to provide food for children of Doe Lea as a result of the General Strike. Its members included Glapwell Colliery officials and safety men. Although the General Strike only lasted nine days in May, coal miners remained on strike for a number of months afterwards.
