Pages 1-9, Clay Cross Colliery, No. 4 Main Pit, strata to Blackshale Coal. Pages 10-15, Clay Cross Colliery, No. 2 Pit, strata to Blackshale Coal. Pages 16-25: Tupton Colliery. Pages 26-44: Portland Colliery (No. 1) and Butterley Park Collieries. Pages 45-53: Morton Colliery (No. 5 Main), sinking started 18 Jun 1863, Blackshale Coal reached 16 Aug 1865. Pages 54-62: Abergarn Collieries, Wales. Pages 63-68: Clay Cross No. 7 Pit, downcast shaft started 18 June 1866, upcast shaft started 4 July 1866. Pages 69-73: Tapton Collieries, Pages 74-85: Hardwick Colliery, Holmewood. Much later sticker on front identifies it as (Clay Cross Coll.) Butterley Co. Ltd.
