Butterley Company correspondence file on its sub-lease of the Lower and Bleak Hall Mines in Kirkby in Ashfield to the New Hucknall Company

Description
The Lower Mines and Bleak Hall Mines worked the Top Hard coal seam in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The land is already leased from the Duke of Portland, including land close to the Bentinck Colliery. Mention is also made to working the Deep Soft coal seam. Hand drawn plan of the land mentioned in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, early 20th cent, scale 2 chains to 1 inch, 16cm x 29cm.
