Description
The proposal was for the Butterley Company to transfer boys from distressed mining areas to be employed at Ollerton Colliery, which proposal the company decided not to proceed with. Including loose sketch plan of hostel for Ollerton, 1930, copies of notes on meeting at Whitehall, 12 Feb 1930, printed pamphlet entitled "Memorandum on the Transfer of Juveniles from Distressed Mining Areas to Employment in other Districts", revised Dec 1928, and newspaper cutting of article on critisism of the stand on unemployment of Peter Heenan, Minister of Labor in Canada
