Reports on commercial grades for various collieries of the Butterley Company by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Description
These findings were taken as part of the Fuel Research for the Physical and Chemical Survey of the National Coal Resources for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Each file is organised in date and report number order. Each report contains information on the size of samples taken from each seam of the specified colliery and whereabouts onsite the coal ended up after being brought to surface. At each point statistics are recorded to gage the chaacteristics and grade of coal extracted. Ormonde Colliery (Kilburn & Tupton seams), Feb 1933. Britain Colliery (Tupton seam), Oct 1933.
