NotesA moorland plateau in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, and the highest point in the Peak District at 636 metres (2,087 feet). It is characterised by blanket bog, heather moorland and gritstone edges, with Ringing Roger forming a distinctive gritstone outcrop above Edale Valley. The plateau forms part of the Dark Peak Site of Special Scientific Interest, and part of the moorland was designated a National Nature Reserve in 2009.
