Abstract
When a mysterious man, Will, moves into the house opposite her, Elizabeth Turner's quiet village life is turned upside down. She discovers she is descended from a convict, Edward Turner, who was transported to Australia for his part in the Pentrich Revolution in 1817. Will helps her uncover a mystery surrounding one of Edward's sons, Edmund.

Brandreth; Jeremiah (1790-1817); Out-of-work stocking maker who lived in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire; beheaded in Derby for treason. He was known as "The Nottingham Captain". He and two of his conspirators were the last people to be beheaded with an axe in Britain. The rising is known as the Pentrich Revolution.
