Pentrich and South Wingfield Revolution Group; fl 2016; Group formed to commemorate 200-year anniversary of the last "armed" revolution in Britain.
Brandreth; Jeremiah (1790-1817); Out-of-work stocking maker who lived in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire; beheaded in Derby for treason. He was known as "The Nottingham Captain". He and two of his conspirators were the last people to be beheaded with an axe in Britain. The rising is known as the Pentrich Revolution.
