History
The Primitive Methodist Circuit for Winster is believed to have been formed around 1811. It became Bakewell Primitive Methodist Circuit in 1913 and formed the new Bakewell Methodist Circuit following the unification of the Methodist Church in 1932.
Circuit societies/churches, 1915: Bakewell, Youlgreave, Birchover, Elton, Middleton, Darley Hillside, Aldwark, Biggin, Rowsley and Alsop (closed by 1944).
Successor: Bakewell Methodist Circuit (1932-1944)
