History
The Primitive Methodist Circuit was based on the Church in Station Street.
Includes churches at Kniveton, Hognaston, Kirk Ireton, Hollington, Hulland, Brailsford, Biggin, Milldale and Tissington.
Following the unification of the Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist Churches in 1932, the Ashbourne Primitive Methodist Circuit continued briefly as the Ashbourne Station Street Methodist Circuit (the former Wesleyan circuit continued as the Ashbourne Circuit). The circuits were amalgamated in 1934 forming the new Ashbourne Methodist Circuit.
