History
In the medieval period, Bradbourne church and rectory was granted to Dunstable Priory. The churches covered by the parish were then Atlow, Ballidon, Bradbourne, Brassington and Tissington. Ballidon is still a chapel of ease, but Atlow became a separate parish in 1874 and Brassington in 1886. Aldwark and Lea Hall are townships within the parish.
